Names and forms of address
I prefer to use my chosen name “Ela”. If we have never spoken before, I will refer to myself as Ela and ask that you do the same. I do have a surname, but I prefer to only use this in published works.
I use both the she/her and they/them pronouns and am happy for you to pick either of them (whichever makes you comfortable). I do not use he/him, except in exceptional circumstances. Unless I use he/him, do not use he/him.
For honorifics, I prefer to use none. If honorifics must be used please use Mx. If Mx. cannot be used, please use Ms.
I pronounce my name /ˈɛlə/ (“e-la”), however any reasonable phonetic pronunciation is acceptable.
Thank you for reading and checking.
